In the 21st edition of the FIFA World Cup, there will be many players who will be looking to secure the Golden Boot. Here is our list of 10 players who favourites to clinch the honours.

FIFA World Cup is less than two weeks away from a grand opening. There will be 32 teams which will be at loggerheads in Russia and at least 736 players who will be donning the jerseys of their respective teams. However, there will be some who will have their eyes fixed on the prestigious Golden Boot. Saudi Arabia will play  in front of roaring 81,000 spectators at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

Golden Boot at the FIFA World Cup is given to highest scorer in the tournament. The highly-coveted award was instated in 1982 for the first time and its first recipient was Italy attacker Paolo Rossi. No footballer has ever won the award twice and nobody has even repeated the feat even before the award’s inception.
